Seriously, this little unit doesn’t have much going for it right about now. Clear lack of must have software aside, the PS4 is just a finicky and highly temperamental unit.
Like, earlier today, my power happened to flicker for less than a second. My Xbox One and Wii U weren’t affected by this, which I’m thankful for, because I had a copy of Borderlands 2 running, and I didn’t save… But I digress.
Anyway, my power flickered, and everything remained up and running. Well, everything except for my PlayStation 4, which was in rest mode at the time. This thing may as well have been fried, for all it was concerned. Its little safety features kicked in, turned off the unit, and after I turned this sucker back on, proceeded to verbally yell and scold me for not shutting the system down properly. As in, it literally beeped at me. Seriously, talk about an attitude problem!
Thankfully, everything is A-OK with the world, at least as far as my little PS4 buddy goes. I mean, just look at it! It’s adorable, with it sitting in the corner like that. 😀
So yeah, I just needed to vent my frustrations here. The PS4 is a great little system, but it’s definitely not perfect. The hardware is very finicky, especially in regards to the whole ‘electricity’ thing.
In the mean time, I’m going to hop back into Borderlands 2, and maybe play a little Halo 5 afterwards. Depends on my mood, I guess. Don’t get me wrong, I truly do love my PlayStation. It’s just, I’m getting tired of waiting for greatness, and would much rather play great games now. And for that, there’s only one destination in mind; Xbox. (and maybe Wii U)
