In regards to the previously published entry, I just did the math. See, the price is being increased due to the value of the Canadian dollar falling. However, things just don’t seem to add up, and Sony is essentially making free money with every sale of PS4 games, systems and accessories.
Games originally priced at $59.99 are now priced at $69.99, but the actual value of the game is $66.58, not $69.99. That means that, with every game sale on the PS4, Sony’s getting $3.41 more than they should. (based on current exchange rate)

As for the game system itself?
Usual price is $399.99. With the current exchange rate, it comes to $443.91, not $449.99. They’re getting $6.08 extra with every system sold.
Now, this may not sound like a big number.. But let’s say that Sony sells 400,000 PS4’s with this new pricing. Sony would receive $2,432,000 of extra revenue. That’s two MILLION FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY TWO THOUSAND. Not a number to laugh at, especially when you consider that it was essentially earned through a billing error.

This is a broken system, and I hope Sony fixes this. I’m not giving them more money for the same product, as it simply isn’t worth their advertised rate.

If they intend to stick with this unethical billing practice, I’m no longer buying PS4 games. This is unacceptable. It isn’t fair nor is it ethical, and if Sony is willing to sink this low, I’m willing to take my business elsewhere.
Hopefully others will do the math, and realize that they’re getting ripped off.

Also Sony, please open your eyes. I understand that you’re a corporation, and that making money is your only objective. Just please, don’t overcharge your consumers and blame the exchange rate for your wrong doings. Seriously, wisen up, or fuck off. You’re not the only game in town, so please at least stay competitive, and charge us fairly. You’re literally overcharging Canadians, which isn’t ethical.
